The Cutaway is a very festive suit and is worn by the groom or the male participants for the Church wedding. Nowadays it is short called Cut, too. In Great Britain it is called morning coat. Normally the Cut is worn only until 6 pm.

A perfect Cut consists of a black- grey striped trouser, a light- grey vest, a white chemise with a silver- grey of coloured tie or a wide silk tie also called plastron and black shoes. The jacket is cut roundly from the button at the level of the navel, to the back until the hollow of the knee.

A variant of the Cutaway is the Stroller.
