Info’s to the tail-coat, wich is generally worn at ultra-formal weddings.
The tail-coat is the most festive men suit of all suits. It is also called a great society suit and is only worn at evening celebrations.
The tail-coat is mostly black nowadays and consists of a jacket with fishtails (back part) that are worn waist-length in the front and principally open. The peaked lapels are mainly embellished by silk satin. The tail-coat trousers always are without turn-ups and at the side suture it is worked with two edgings (also called Galons). Basically the trouser is only worn with a pair of braces.
With it white accessories are worn:
a vest of Piqué, a white bow-tie from Piqué, also the tail-coat chemise with stand- up collar and simple shirt cuff that is not turned down from Piqué.
Black knee- long silk or wool stockings and black patent- leather shoes built the finish to the tail-coat.
