I obtained a reply card with the invitation. What now?

There are many bridal couples who are sending with the invitation a prefabricated reply card. Mark the corresponding field of the card and send the card back as soon as possible.

How long is the time to answer?

Normally you will get the invitation 3 – 6 month before the wedding. In the case there is no date until you have to answer, we advise you to answer immediate. You should answer 6 weeks before the wedding at the latest, because the exact planning depends on the reply.

Who should get the reply?

In order to know who get the answer, take a look to the sender of the invitation and to the formulation of the invitation.

How should I accept the invitation?

We advise you not to accept by phone or to ask another person to inform the couple about your acceptance. A lot of wedding invitations contain “r.v.r.p.”, this means that the couple expect a written answer from you. You do not undersign your answer. If you need further information, like the dress code, gift list or location plan, write your address clearly and readable in the written reply.

How do I decline a wedding invitation?

If you have to decline, you should do this immediately after receipt of the invitation. The best way is to send a formal decline with the reason. If you are close to the family, you can also decline via phone. We advise you to send a gift, despite cancellation.
