Save-the-Date

This is an idea from the U.S. and the cards are getting more and more popular in Europe. Like the name says, the purpose of the card is a form of notepad for your wedding guests. The invitation cards will be sent out if you know the date and location of the marriage and of the party; the save-the-date-cards will give you the possibility to inform your guests about the date in the forefront. Your guests will be able to reserve the date of the planned wedding day in the run-up. In Europe the cards will be often sent out by e-mail. The origin American version is sent by post, the disadvantages are the postal charges and the advantage is that your guests will have a notepad for the pin board or for the door of the refrigerator.

Invitation Cards

It is not necessary to describe them. The sending of the invitation cards will be done approx. 3 – 4 month before the wedding, if you have fixed the exact location, date and time of the wedding and wedding party. It is sufficient to inform about the day of the wedding-eve party because it is not usual to invite to this party (this is, concerning the wedding etiquette the invitation to the wedding-eve party). The wedding-eve party can be announced in any form. The invitation to the wedding has to be made in form of an invitation card, which should be transmitted or sent out personally. The invitation by e. g. a sms message (was already really made!) is an absolute NO GO! Some more informations concerning the details you should consider if you create your invitations, you will get here!

Reply Cards

Very rare - but also usual. Most of the bridal couples or their wedding planners administrate a guest list, on which they make a note of the acceptance or declining concerning the invitation. It is common that the answer will be made by phone or in written form. If it is important for you to get the answer in written form, we suggest adding a post paid reply card, on which your guest can also inform you, if they need a hotel reservation or a special menu (vegetarian & diabetic).

Thank-You Notes

Thank-You notes should not fail in every wedding papetery. With these cards you express not only your thankfulness; you also express your appreciation for the gifts and the participation of your guests. According to this, you should create the cards personally. As in every other card for your wedding – the more handwriting the merrier! Avoid pre-printed cards, in which you only have to write the name of the guest, this is not personally and a bad style. Haven't ideas on how to word your Thank-You notes? Sampling options are here!

Menu Cards

The best way is to write them with feather by a professional writer. Printed menu cards are also in frame. A menu card contains all foods and whose succession, for the buffet as well as for a menu. It is usual that there is placed one menu card per table (minimum), but it depends on the size of the table. It is also possible to give each guest an own card.

Menu of Beverages

This is necessary if you have limited the assortment of beverages – this is not unusual. Essential is a good assortment of wine.

Place Cards

Place cards are showing the guests where they find their place at the wedding table. In the past, the cards had been written by hand or had been placed in printed form at the place of the guest. In the last years it is getting more and more common to personalize give-aways (host gifts) so that they can also be used as place cards. The advantage can be directly seen – you have a nice host gift and at the same time a fancy place card – you kill two birds with one stone. In the miss solution - wedding shop you will find personalized give-aways! In the foyer you will often find an easel or a placard which is showing the seating arrangements so that the guests will easily find their seats.

Table Cards

Table cards are the pendant to place cards. Instead of place cards for each guest, a guest will be assigned a table, assumed that the wedding table is more than one table. The seating arrangement on each table will be made by the guests self. The advantages are that the bridal couple has less organisational work and the risk of a faux pas is reduced. But there are also disadvantages – the formation of groups is pre-programmed and a felicitous seating arrangement will be subdued. Naturally it is very general and it also depends on the size of the table and the location. Our opinion is that it is better you use table cards in the case of small tables (max. 8 guests). In the case of larger tables we do not recommend table cards, because the disadvantages would be too profoundly. On the table card you will see the table number and the name of the guests of this table. In the foyer should be placed an easel or placard in order to show the classification.

Booklets for the Church

Booklets for the church contain information about the procedure of the ceremony and hints concerning the songs. Additionally the booklet is used in order to thank certain involved persons.
